Our Story

Books for Children was started in Wilmington, Delaware by a group of students passionate about educational access. From there the idea grew and grew. Friends and family began to bring Books for Children Charity to their own communities. Now the charity has "chapters" in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Maryland, New Jersey, Florida, California, London, and Washington D.C. Thousands and thousands of books have been donated. Children have developed a passion for reading. There is no other organization that is doing what Books for Children is doing. We are on the cusp of a revolution in education and this is just the beginning.
